Fire damper inspections are required in hospitals once every 6 years and 1 year after new construction. Commercial and medical office buildings are required to inspect their dampers every 4 years. PREVENT inspects all mechanical, electrical and pneumatic dampers, and cleans and cycles all your dampers to ensure functionality. We provide detailed reporting for the Joint Commission, CMS, and other AHJ inspections. According to NFPA 80, if the fire damper is not operable, repairs shall begin without delay. PREVENT can provide all fire damper repairs and actuator replacements.
